Privacy and safety

Private by design.
Clear about the limits.

Usward is built to minimise what it knows, what it stores and what it can do on a user’s behalf.

WHAT WE AIM TO DO

Start with less data.

  • No partner accounts are required for the core experience.
  • No message is sent for you.
  • No audio recording should be kept after the spoken turn is processed.
  • Saved history should be optional, user-controlled and deletable.
  • Learning consent should be separate from using Usward.

WHAT TO REMEMBER

AI is not a guarantee.

  • Usward can misunderstand context or miss something important.
  • Do not use it for immediate danger, violence, coercion, stalking or an emergency.
  • Do not place highly identifying or sensitive information into a shared device or account.
  • If you feel unsafe, close the tool and seek local specialist support when safe.

LEARNING CONSENT

Helping improve Usward is always optional.

If we later invite people to contribute anonymised learning examples, the invitation will explain what is being used, why it helps and how to withdraw. We will not use learning data to identify, track, score, advertise to or act against a person. The current test build does not send learning-consent data anywhere.

NEED HELP NOW?

Usward is not an emergency service.

If there is immediate danger, violence, sexual coercion, stalking, coercive control or a credible threat, do not use a shared-device repair tool. Contact local emergency or specialist support when it is safe to do so.
